A ZEISS OCT eye scan is a non-invasive camera that lets us look at the structure of the layers of your retina and thickness of your optic nerves
Dry Eye is more than an uncomfortable condition. Symptoms include scratchy eyes, burning, mild redness and gritty feeling eyes. Oral medications, reading, computer tasks and dry environments may aggravate marginally dry eyes.
Inflammadry helps us to determine if underlying inflammation must be medically treated as the doctor determines your overall treatment plan. It is also used to monitor effectiveness of treatment.
IProX is our new combination IPL-RF device and the most advanced treatment for dry eye syndrome.
Macular degeneration is the breakdown of the macula, which is the area of the retina responsible for your fine, detailed central sight. This is typically a disease related to aging, but it also has many lifestyle risk factors.
An objective and quantitative point-of-care diagnostic test that provides precise and predictive information.
Thirty million Americans suffer from Meibomian gland dysfunction, which causes the majority of dry eye cases. LipiFlow is a safe and effective method for getting these oil glands to secrete again. Basically a spa-like treatment for your eyelids to aid in a cleansing of the blocked up oil glands.
PROKERA® biologic corneal bandage devices are used by our eye doctors to heal and treat ocular conditions such as keratitis, moderate to severe dry eye disease, recurrent corneal erosions, filamentary keratitis, persistent epithelial defects, neurotrophic corneas, herpetic ulcers, and many other ocular surface diseases such as chemical burns and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
BioDOptix® amniotic extracellular matrix is a dehydrated membrane allograft derived from donated human amniotic tissue that is intended for use in ocular tissue repair.
If you are thinking about getting contact lenses, we can help! If you are new to the world of contact lenses, this is how it begins. The first thing that you will need is a comprehensive eye exam.
The TearCare® System is indicated for the application of localized heat when the current medical community recommends the application of a warm compress to the eyelids. Such applications would include Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), Dry Eye, or Blepharitis.
Our office doesn’t just deal with glasses. We are also a medical facility and can take care of all but the most severe eye-related emergencies.
The Clarus provides an ultra-widefield picture of your retina without dilating drops. If we find something unique in your retina or with your optic nerve, we can also use this camera to take a picture and monitor for changes over time. One great feature to having pictures of your retina is that it is an objective view of your eye. It is a picture we have as a reference for all your future eye exams!
The natural lens in the eye gradually becomes less clear as we get older. When opacities develop in the lens and the lens gets too hazy, vision will be impaired. Our office can diagnose and manage cataract care.
Keratoconus, often referred to as ‘KC’, is an eye condition in which the cornea weakens and thins over time, causing the development of a cone-like bulge and optical irregularity of the cornea.
The CA-800 Corneal Analyzer is an easy-to-use corneal topographer with tools for complete evaluation of the anterior corneal surface and eyelids.
We offer a comprehensive eye health and vision examination utilizing the latest technology in combination with highly trained doctors and staff.
Binocular vision disorders can take on many forms. Essentially, the two eyes want to work together as a team! We always evaluate your eye efficiency during yearly exams.
Glaucoma is a silent eye disease. It is a condition in which your eye pressure gradually increases, physically damaging your optic nerve, leading to permanent vision loss. You typically won't feel glaucoma or notice the subtle vision loss until it is much too late.
The Vision Training program gives the opportunity to enhance eye-coordination, focusing skills, eye-teaming, eye-hand-body coordination, and visual perceptual skills.
The LipiView is a camera to capture a picture of your meibomian glands, determine if you blink fully and show how much oil your glands are secreting with each blink.
BlephEx™ is a new, in-office eye treatment that is proven to provide long-lasting relief from blepharitis and dry eye. The procedure safely and precisely removes debris from along the edge of your lashes, exfoliates your eyelids, and immediately improves uncomfortable symptoms.
We treat most eye diseases and eye injuries. Our doctors are certified and have advanced training to prescribe medications to treat glaucoma, conjunctivitis, ocular allergies, iritis, dry eyes, and treat eye emergencies.
One way to alleviate dry eye is to help the eyes to make better and longer use of the small amount of lubricating tears they do produce. This is accomplished by closing off the small funnel-like drain hole found in the inner corner of the upper and lower eyelids.
Our amazing Opticians are here for you! Frame selection can be daunting. We will make sure your frames fit your face shape and will work with your specific eyeglass prescription.
If you are ever diagnosed with diabetes, your primary care doctor will likely recommend extra close monitoring of your eyes. Diabetic patients should have a dilated retinal examination each year.
Humphrey® Field Analyzer 3 (HFA3) is a computerized test utilized for many eye diseases that affect vision.
Our story begins in 1952, when Dr. Herbert “Ted” Halliday began his practice of optometry. Over the next 35 years, he developed a loyal patient base by caring for the people of the Carlisle area. Dr. Wayne Yorkgitis joined the practice in 1983 and introduced specialty children’s care and vision therapy as new services. In 1988, Dr. A.J. Grieneisen came aboard and brought with him additional general optometric and vision therapy knowledge. In 2002, the practice moved to its current location on State Avenue. The addition of Dr. Derek Kramer, Dr. Elizabeth Karns and Dr. Lara Match has increased our ability to add specialty medical services and contact lens options. It has been a pleasure to serve our community in such a convenient and modern facility.
Our expert optometrists and experienced staff will take the time to answer all of your questions, explain options, and provide the highest quality eye health treatments available for you and your whole family
